A Legacy of Valor and Grace:
Reliving the Rajput Sabha Bengaluru’s 36th Dasara Mahotsav
The 36th Dasara Mahotsav of Rajput Sabha Bengaluru was a spectacular testament to our community’s resilience and cultural pride. This year’s celebration held special significance as it marked the first Dasara Mahotsav under the dynamic leadership of our new President, Mr. Ajit Singh. Under his guidance, the event reached new heights of organization and community engagement. From September 22nd to October 2nd, the Sabha transformed into a hub of spiritual energy and traditional grandeur, commencing with the sacred Ghatasthapana. Each evening, the air was filled with the rhythmic beats of Dandiya and Garba, as families across generations came together to celebrate in their finest traditional attire.
As our Kuldevta, Maa Durga (Amba Bhavani or Chamundeshwari) remains the spiritual anchor of our community, deeply cherished and worshipped by every Rajput family.
It is truly heartening to see our heritage come alive through the vibrant participation of every generation, from our playful youngsters to our respected elders.

The spiritual heart of the event was the Shastra Puja on Vijayadashami, where we honored our warrior heritage by seeking blessings for our tools and traditions. This year was particularly special as we witnessed a record turnout of community members, all joining in the Mahaprasad—a sumptuous community feast that followed the rituals. As featured in recent years by the Times of India, our celebration continues to be a unique bridge between our ancestral Rajput identity and our beloved local culture in Bengaluru. We are immensely proud of the success of this 36th edition and the bonds it has strengthened within our community.

We also organized a cultural program featuring traditional Rajput folk dances and music, keeping the audience enthralled.
We were delighted to see the Bengaluru Express highlight our 36th Dasara Mahotsav. They perfectly captured how we, as Rajputs, remain deeply rooted in our ancestral identity even as we embrace the local customs of our home here in Bengaluru. This adaptability is part of our rich history, proving that we can honor our past while thriving in the present.

In addition to traditional news outlets, our 36th Dasara Mahotsav gained significant traction across digital platforms. Leading local news portal New Xpress News featured detailed articles and on-the-ground video coverage, capturing the vibrant energy of our cultural nights and the solemnity of the Shastra Puja.
Similarly, several popular Bengaluru-based YouTube channels and vloggers documented the festivities, showcasing the colorful Dandiya sessions and the community Mahaprasad to a global audience. These digital features have been instrumental in sharing our Rajput heritage with the wider public, further establishing Rajput Sabha Bengaluru as a cornerstone of the city’s cultural landscape.
As we look back on the 36th Dasara Mahotsav, we are filled with a profound sense of gratitude and community pride. Under the new leadership of Mr. Ajit Singh, this milestone year not only honored our ancestral legacy but also set a new benchmark for unity and celebration. From the extensive coverage by the Bengaluru Express and New Xpress News to the vibrant highlights captured by various YouTube channels, the story of our thriving community reached every corner of the city. We remain steadfast in our mission to preserve our Rajput identity while growing alongside the local traditions of Karnataka.
